Simulator-Based Hands-on TEE Course
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
• TEE indications, contraindications, patient preparation and safety
• Probe anatomy, insertion principles and basic manipulation
• Systematic acquisition of mid-esophageal views
• Transgastric and upper esophageal imaging
• Assessment of cardiac structures using standard TEE views
• Case-based practice with simulated clinical scenarios
• Introduction to 3D TEE and basic dataset acquisition
• Team quiz, feedback and certificate ceremony
HANDS-ON TRAINING MODEL
24 Participants | 4 Faculty | TEE Simulators
Participants will train in small groups, rotating through simulator stations. Short, focused lectures will be followed by practical exercises, giving participants opportunities to apply each topic under faculty guidance.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Senior residents and specialists in cardiology, intensive care medicine, anesthesiology and cardiovascular surgery who wish to develop or consolidate their foundational TEE skills.
